Sometimes we find ourselves a bit lost and unable to formulate our emotions, or maybe even feeling lost in life. In my own endeavors as an artist, I am currently exploring identity within my art, which in-turn reflects the want to return to the simple enjoyment of just making art. I primarily make my works using either graphite or ink, but I have also started to employ digital processes. I seek to not only find my artistic identity in my work, but I also want to explore the complexities and subtleties of human emotion that may not be easily expressed.

This drawing series plans to explore conveying those emotions and translating conceptual ideas into a transformative representation with expressive yet child-like expression. The composition will play around with structure and the use of the space to communicate varying emotions to the viewer. Exploring those ideas of being lost and attempting to make sense of our thoughts is more personal, and everyone has different ways of communicating those thoughts.
